How capabilities are improving Enterprise modelling: the novel solution your business was waiting for

Capability-driven development, it is an state-of-the-art approach to introduce into your business development stack the concept of enterprise context: external agents, such as political regulations, social trends or your market ecosystem, not considered neither in your technical solution nor your business processes, but that clearly influences on the quality of your delivered services. ven the best analyst cannot envision all the future context conditions and how to support them. For instance, how to support your e-commerce solution because a catastrophic situation at your hosting service, because a provider is out of stock of an essential component or because your service is no longer compliant with a new data-privacy law.

Capabilities is the right answer to these challenges as this novel concept establishes a link between enterprise context and a set of best practices to adjust your business services at runtime. The purpouse of this industry day is to introduce from a practical perspective Capabilities and Capability-driven development industrial experiences which have been developed in the context of the EU CaaS project. This industrial day will include presentations regarding industrial settings in which capabilities have enhanced service delivery and the presentation of succesful R&D transfer projects. Furthermore, the feedback provided by the participants will serve as valuable input for further development of the Industrial User Group on Capability-driven development.
